How does this happen?
We change the ownership of your property from joint tenants to tenants in common, allowing your share of the property to be distributed by your Will.
We allocate your share of the property to fall into trust on your death, giving your spouse/partner the right to live in the property for the rest of their life. Should you want them to, they can also be given the ability to downsize but still have your portion of the new property held within trust.
